Orland Park Moving Services

Single-Family Home Moves

Most Orland Park households live in detached homes, and our local moving service covers moves within the village and to nearby communities such as Bolingbrook, Joliet, Downers Grove, and Chicago. Our movers load the truck, transfer your belongings, and place each piece in the room you choose at the new address. For larger homes, share the number of bedrooms, the basement, and any oversized furniture during the estimate so the right number of movers is scheduled.

Townhome And Condo Moves

Orland Park has townhome and condo communities built from the 1970s through the 2010s, and each association sets its own rules for move-ins. Our residential moving service plans around shared driveways, stairs, elevators, and move-in hours. Ask your association about move rules before you book, and pass them along with your quote request.

Long-Distance Moves From The Southwest Suburbs

I-355, I-55, and Route 6 connect Orland Park to the regional highway network, so a long-distance truck is on its way soon after loading. Our long-distance fleet includes a sleeper truck that runs our key routes out of the Chicago area. The long-distance moving page covers how those moves are planned.

Storage Between Homes

Storage keeps your belongings in our own warehouse when a closing date and a move-in date do not line up. Our movers handle the trip into storage and the delivery back out, so your belongings stay with one company the whole way.

Orland Park's Truck Parking Rules For Moving Day

Orland Park has specific rules for large trucks, and a moving truck falls under them.

Street Parking For Large Trucks

The village code bars commercial vehicles over 8,000 pounds, or longer than 21 feet, wider than 8 feet, or taller than 9 feet, from parking on streets or alleys. The code allows them to park for a reasonable period of time to pick up or deliver property, assemble what was delivered, or prepare property for loading. A moving truck can work in front of your home on move day, then needs to leave when the work is done.

No Overnight Truck Parking In Driveways

The overnight parking of those larger commercial vehicles is not permitted in any residential setback, including a residential driveway. A move that spans two days should plan for the truck to leave overnight and return the next morning.

Direct Routes Through The Village

Orland Park only allows commercial trucks on village streets for access to a destination by the shortest, most direct route, with an exception for part of 153rd Street. Share both addresses early so the truck’s route in and out of your neighborhood can be planned.

Snow Days

Parking on village streets is prohibited once 2 inches of snow have fallen, and vehicles must stay off the streets for 10 hours after the snow stops so plows can clear them. On a snowy move day there may be no legal street space, so plan for the truck to load from the driveway where it fits, and keep your own cars in the garage.

Absolutely incredible! The customer service was easy to work with and so kind (thank you Donna!) and the movers were skilled and fast. We had a 3 person crew and they were in and out and treated our belongings with care. I cannot recommend them enough!!

Moving Into Orland Park Subdivisions, Townhomes, And Condos

Single-family homes made up about 70 percent of Orland Park’s housing stock in 2024, and many subdivisions date from the 1990s through the 2010s. The rest of the market is townhomes, condos, duplexes, and apartment buildings.

Townhome Communities

Townhome neighborhoods range from Ravina Glens, south of 153rd Street and built in the early 1990s, to Orland Park Crossing, north of 143rd Street and built starting in 2005, and newer communities such as Tiara Glen from the mid-2010s. Townhome moves usually mean an interior staircase and a shared street or driveway, so confirm guest parking and any association move rules before move day.

Condo Buildings

Condo communities include Quail Hollow from the late 1970s, Treetop from the 1970s and 1980s, and Park Station, built in 2008 north of 159th Street. Older and newer buildings handle move-ins differently, so ask the management company about elevator access, loading doors, and move-in hours.

Old Orland Near The 143rd Street Station

The Old Orland Historic District near downtown and the 143rd Street Metra station has older streets and architecture, and a 2024 village action moved to allow townhomes there. Moves on these blocks can mean tighter streets and older homes, so mention the address during the estimate.
